Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has suggested President William Ruto will not have it easily in 2027.   In a tweet on Monday, November 11, Amisi claimed Ruto plans to use well-known political figures to get Western Kenya votes. Why William Ruto should be wary of Luhya votes According to Amisi, the fallout between the president and former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua essentially means Ruto is not assured of the Mt Kenya votes.

However, the ODM lawmaker cautioned the president against relying on the Mulembe vote, arguing that it would not be easy given the region’s historical injustices. “Ruto wants Western votes next election at a throwaway price through the perennial political dinosaurs, ostensibly because Kikuyu votes have a price tag. Well, think twice.Vindu vichenjanga.Western will not be a walk in the park because of historical injustices!” Amisi said. His remarks came after he hosted a section of the Luhya Council of Elders from Trans Nzoia county.

“Today, I met Elders from the political wing of the luyha Council of Elders residing in Trans Nzoia County, who called on me . The energy and enthusiasm of the young must be supplemented with the wisdom of the old to achieve holistic leadership in society . Mbele ni kuzuri!” he added. Caleb Amisi: Why Kalonzo Musyoka can’t unseat Ruto Meanwhile, the Saboti MP suggested that Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka is not best suited to unseat Ruto in the 2027 presidential vote.

Amisi asserted that Kalonzo does not have the capacity to successfully take on Ruto, who he suggested is a calculative and shrewd politician. While acknowledging that Ruto ought to be removed from power for the maladministration under his watch, the lawmaker ruled Kalonzo out of those capable of unseating the president. According to him, Kalonzo is too reticent and cannot make painful sacrifices for the citizenry to entrust him with the country’s leadership.
