Sojah had shared a video of her final moments on social media, hoping to get some help from well-wishers.However, instead of sympathy, he received a lot of criticism and backlash from netizens who accused him of neglecting his mother and exploiting her for social media views, likes and clicks. Sojah, who is known for his die-hard loyalty to Gor Mahia and his colourful outfits, was devastated by the accusations and the loss of his mother. He said he had done everything he could to care for her and make her happy. As his mother was being laid to rest, Soja lowered the flag near his house to symbolise that he was mourning his beloved mother. Jaro Sojah’s defiant defense He then wept bitterly and questioned why people were insulting him on Facebook. He asked the people who were with him to tell the strangers how much he loved his mother and how much he had done for her. He said he did not deserve the hate and the judgement he was getting from people who did not know him or his mother. “Why are people accusing me of neglecting my mother? They are insulting me on Facebook, yet my mother collapsed and died. Do they know where we have come from with my mother? Do they know how much I loved my mother? He wondered if there was anybody who loved his mother more than he did. “Hi guys, why didn’t you ask first who recorded the videos? Or is there someone who loves my mother better than me? Do not look at my history with my mother or ask my neighbours who know me better. Does anyone really love my mother like me? Do you know that I really struggled with my mother? Let my mother rest,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
