Famous Kenyan journalist who works for the BBC, Waihiga Mwaura and his wife Joyce Omondi celebrated their eight-year wedding anniversary on Monday, December 18 beautifully and uniquely.
To celebrate their special day, the couple, who are currently enjoying a holiday in Uzbekistan, chose to have a wonderful evening of exotic cuisine, drinks, and soulful music.
In the videos shared by the two on their social media pages, they were seen in a restaurant where they were served various exotic dishes while a band of musical instruments entertained them.
“Today’s dinner was special… this was good,” Ms Omondi said via her Instagram page.
The couple who tied the knot on December 18, 2015 were seen with happy faces and beautiful smiles on their faces as they enjoyed their wedding anniversary.
“Happy anniversary my love!! #theonehekeptforme @waihigamwaura,” Ms. Omondi wrote on a video of a woman playing the harp.
In other videos, the two were also seen visiting other beautiful and fun places in Uzbekistan.
The famous couple whose faces have been very popular among Kenyan viewers over the years has surprised many with their beautiful union and the way they have always celebrated.
Last year, Mrs Omondi who is a gospel artist revealed why she does not reveal much about her marriage on social media, saying it is because it is something she values and prefers to be protected from the public eye. “It is not a secret that I am married but I keep things private because I only married Waihiga,” she said.
She added, “For me, my marriage to him is very special, it is a covenant that I have with him and God and I want to take care of it and I did not make my vows to everyone, it is something that I will protect and take care of. appreciate that.”
