Lady Visiting Parents for Christmas Cancels Plans at Bus Station, Goes Back to Sleep

A Nigerian lady broke down in tears after discovering the cost of travelling to the countryside by road. She returned home and broke down in tears. The lady’s friend videoed her as she wept in the room and shared the clip on TikTok. Explaining the reason for her friend’s tears in detail, @chiomachiomaa said she had wanted to travel to Enugu by road at night. The Lagos-based lady had packed her bag and gone to the bus station, only to give up and return home after two transport companies told her it would cost over N40k, which translates to KSh 7,520. @chiomachiomaa added that the lady’s money was N15k(KSh 2,816) short of the bus fare. The clip made many emotional. She should call her boyfriend for help, seriously.” sweetgal181 said: “I dey agoo am travel with my husband to Anambra let her come and travel with us but she go stop for Onitsha.”  chenko1113 said: ”Someone is ready to assist her here how much did she need to complete the one she has.” Lady laments fully booked buses amidst travelling plans Elsewhere, a Kenyan woman from Ugenya using the TikTok handle @Merhamet ASK asked for help to travel to the village after discovering all the buses had been booked until the end of December. @Merhamet shared a video lamenting that she could not find a bus while begging buses that ferry people on her route to have mercy on her because her grandmother was waiting for her. In her words: “So I make my hair and nails and buy new clothes for Christmas and then get to the booking section and find there are no buses? And nobody should tell me that I should have started early, I did not have money that early. It is now that I have found money. But I must also go to the village. My grandmother is waiting for the things that I am leaving Nairobi with to eat during Christmas,” she said.
