Political bigwigs have taken time off their busy schedules to celebrate Christmas with their family members and constituents. Nominated senator Esther Okenyuri boarded a boda boda to an event.Among them is the youthful nominated senator, Esther Okenyuri. The senator, who doubles up as the vice chair of the Senate Committee on Trade, Industrialisation, and Tourism, was over the moon after boarding a boda boda in her Kiong’endo village, Bokimonge Ward, Bomachoge Borabu Constituency  Where was Esther Okenyuri headed TUKO.co.ke understands that Okenyuri was on her way to the Kenyenya Secondary Schools Teachers Welfare Association during their Annual General Meeting (AGM). “A good teacher is like a candle; it consumes itself to light the way for others; teachers are the basis of any knowledge,” Okenyuri posted on X. Youthful senator Esther Okenyuri had a good time on the boda boda.  During the event, Okenyuri commended the teachers for their selfless commitment to moulding the future generation. “I also took the opportunity to reiterate the Kenya Kwanza government’s commitment to engaging stakeholders in the education sector and exploring more avenues that will foster an environment that addresses issues bedeviling teachers of our great country.,” she said. Source: Original Okenyuri later attended the burial of Mzee Philip Kamau Omoke, who she said was a friendly, humble, and committed member of the community. “This evening, I condoled with the family of the late Mzee Philip Kamau Omoke of Kiong’endo village, Bokimonge Ward, Bomachoge Borabu constituency. We pray for strength and comfort for the family and friends of the bereaved during this difficult time. May Mzee’s soul rest in eternal peace,” she added.
