Film director Abel Mutua and his wife Judy Nyawira are celebrating a milestone as they enroll their only child into a boarding school after completing her primary education.
Their daughter, affectionately known as Mumbus, expressed her desire to try boarding school last year, citing fatigue from day schooling and a desire to assert her independence.
Despite being taken aback, the parents supported her decision. Abel, also known as Mukuru, shared a family picture of Mumbus in her school uniform, ready to embrace her new environment.
The film director expressed his joy and humorously asked for suggestions on how to celebrate, saying, “It’s over for all of you. Sherehe hii town manpiganga wapi?”
Meanwhile, Judy expressed her emotions about letting go of their only child, writing, “It’s DONE. Thank you Lord for this far, you have brought us.”
In December, the celebrated screenwriter decided not to disclose his daughter Mumbus’s Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results.
During an interview at the premiere of Terence Creatives’ “Wash Wash 4,” Abel shared the excitement he and his wife, Judy Nyawira, felt as their daughter embarked on her journey to a boarding school.
He expressed immense joy, noting that Mumbus performed exceptionally well, earning a spot in a prestigious high school.
Responding to public inquiries about the results, Abel clarified that Mumbus is now active on social media, suggesting that interested individuals should inquire directly from her.
