A video of Taita women celebrating their deep-rooted traditions has got men drooling over how stunning they are. Taita women flaunted their beauty in a viral clip. Are Taita women beautiful? Aptly titled ‘We are Taitas’, the viral clip saw men complimenting the women for gorgeously exuding grace and charm. According to the men, the five women represent how Taita Taveta is teeming with lasses born with immaculate natural beauty. In the viral clip, the five women picked elements which they highlighted as unique to the Taitas. One of them debunked a widely held notion that all Taita are light-skinned. “We are Taitas, of course. We are not all light-skinned.” Another noted that Taita women are not picky when choosing husbands. A third shared their dislike of bread, while the fourth trumpeted her people’s pride in having Voi as their capital city. The fifth pointed out that Taitas often pretend not to know their native language when in Nairobi. Lastly, their tea culture is strong. They take tea with milk and expect to be served a cup whenever they pay a visit. The men said the women radiate elegance, possess impeccable manners and poise, and a strong sense of femininity- traits that make Taita women excellent wives.
