The prayers of a distressed elderly woman from Keongororia, Bomachoge Birabu, Kisii county have been heard. Mary Nyanchama, who appealed for help to care for seven children under her care, got her request granted. After her viral story, good Samaritans responded to her plight by coming through for the granny, with gifts. Nyanchama, who was left with infants after her daughter-in-law died a month after giving birth, was honored with shopping. Philanthropist Rodgers Gichana showed up at the granny’s home, this time with foodstuffs for her family. He bought several household items in bulk, clearly understanding the dire need of the poverty-stricken family. He showcased the household items he got for the family, and they could not hide their overwhelming joy. Nyanchama was over the moon by the kindhearted gesture shown to her and her family as she appreciated the well-wishers. Among the items he bought were cooking oil, milk, beddings, toiletries and diapers for the newborn twins. The family spoke words of blessings to the well-wishers for helping them, noting they were suffering, but the help towards them would go a long way.
