Tande says some people take the characters and the things they do which affects how they treat someone.
Speaking during an interview with Buzz Central, she stated
“I won’t Kiss on the lips, I will not imply se* If that is what I am required…..I will not do LGBTQ despite my being neutral about it. I will also not do n*dity.’
Tande added that that would be crossing her boundaries.
“As much as it is acting people become so engrossed in a character, even if it is acting some people will hate you for it. My personality does not allow me to. There are people who believe that is what they have to do to go ahead. For me, That is crossing the line. “
She is currently acting on Kash Money.

In a past interview with TUKO, Tande said the character of a socialite wife drew her to Kash Money.
According to the ‘Amina’ hitmaker, the role was a welcome challenge as she had never played a character that spoke pure English.
“I believe what drew me to it was because it was a role I’d never played before so I wanted to see if I could pull off being a socialite wife. Challenging because all the shows I’ve done were a mix of English and Kiswahili and that really gets into your system so having to do pure English was quite a task And also working with some of the cast that I’ve known personally for so long, keeping a straight face was tough,” Sanaipei shared.

In February 2023, Tande announced her exit from tv series ‘Kina’ where she took on the role of Nana.
Many assumed she wouldn’t be acting anymore. She took to her socials to set the record straight.
“For clarification and accuracy, I chose to leave due to exhaustion and consequently much-needed rest. Because of the nature of the show, it was necessary to find a replacement to allow for your continued entertainment,” she said.
She added
“I thank every one of you who has shown great love, support, and concern through numerous messages, comments, and compliments. I assure you I have read ALL of them. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as “The Great Nana Mandi Tandala” and all facets of this phenomenal character. I will surely miss it,” she stated about working.
