Clad in full Safari Rally drivers’ gear, President William Ruto stepped out on Thursday, gearing up for the flag-off from the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.
The much-anticipated WRC Safari Rally Kenya officially commenced on Thursday. With an impressive lineup of 29 drivers, the rally promises thrilling competition.
Following the flag-off, a Super Spectator Stage unfolded at Kasarani, covering 4.84 kilometers before descending to the Service Park in Naivasha for the three-day display.
Prior to this, on Wednesday, rally drivers engaged in a challenging 5.4-kilometer shakedown at Loldia Ranch within the Ndulele Conservancy in Naivasha.
The shakedown served as a preview of the road conditions, enabling drivers to fine-tune their car setups for the rally and forthcoming weather challenges.
In preparation for the event, President Ruto had reassured rally enthusiasts and drivers on Tuesday, affirming that all security measures had been meticulously implemented.
