The Mic Cheque Podcast, known for its engaging social and political discussions, recently found itself at the center of controversy after inviting Kasmuel McOure as a guest.
Controversy began when a teaser of the episode, titled ‘Ebang Hagongi Ebang Asigonge,’ hosted by Chaxy, Mwas, and Mariah was uploaded featuring Kasmuel introducing himself and comparing himself to iconic African heroes like Martin Luther King and Tom Mboya.
The teaser also revealed that Kasmuel would be featured in the next episode. This announcement triggered a wave of backlash on X, with many fans accusing the hosts of compromising their values.

Dennis Ombachi, a renowned chef and former rugby player, was among those who found the situation deeply troubling. In a post on X, Ombachi expressed his concerns:
“Let’s go easy on the intolerance, respect free speech, and separate the show from the hosts. Apa hakuna tofauti na podcast zina sanitize ule mwizi, but this has its own TA. So, me personally, as a matter of principle, I am pulling out of my next appearance. You’ll get mad views though; a win is a win, I guess.”
