Successful candidates will be enrolled in ELP’s pre-university paid internship programme and will spend six months interning at Equity Bank branches. “The cohort consists of 350 Wings to Fly Scholars and Elimu Scholars who achieved grade A and A-, 167 top-performing students from each sub-county who scored grade A (plain), and 233 top national scholars who earned a minimum of grade A (plain) with 84 points in their final exams,” the financial company stated.
The ELP programme has expanded considerably to date, serving 29,515 scholars enrolled in local and international universities. What was James Mwangi’s advice to interns? The programme attracted over 56,000 applicants across the country. One thousand applicants were selected for the 2024 cohort on a fully funded secondary school education. The scholarship also caters for the student’s transport to and from the school, pocket money, and other education costs.
