2 counties to experience power interruptions on Easter Sunday-KPLC

Kenya Power has released a public notice outlining scheduled power outages affecting over 40 areas in Machakos and Uasin Gishu counties.

The interruptions are set for today, with specific timeframes allocated for each region. In Machakos, the power cut is scheduled from 9 am to 5 pm.

Affected locations in Machakos include Kimutwa Sisters, Kwa Kavoo, Yaitha, Mbembani, Kyawalia, Kyamuthinza, Kitonyini, Muumandu, Lumbwa, Kivandini, Ngiini, Kee, Nyayo Girls, Malili kwa Kea, Kavyuni, Katuaa, Kamuuani, Malooni, Mutulani, Veve, Kasunguni, Iiyuni, Miiani, Mbuani, Thome, Kola, and adjacent areas. Parts of Katani, such as Katani Primary School, Kenya Builders, RK Sanghani, H Young, Ngelani, and nearby areas, will also be affected.

In Uasin Gishu, the planned outage will impact customers in Karuna center and Kaplolo junction, starting from 10 am and lasting until 5 pm.

Other affected areas in Uasin Gishu County during the same period include Ibinga market, Ibinga dispensary, Salvation Army Church, Safaricom Boosters, Likuyani Centre, Likuyani Primary School, Likuyani Secondary School, Likuyani Health Centre, Sango Market, Sango Water Pump, Mapera Centre, and adjacent areas.

Kenya Power clarified that these interruptions are necessary for network maintenance.
