Today, being Monday, April 1, has traditionally been associated with April Fools’ Day. However, there’s uncertainty surrounding whether the station’s announcement of hiring Kamene as its CEO is a genuine move or merely an April Fools’ Day prank. Fans have responded in various ways: some congratulating her, while others remain sceptical, suspecting it might be a playful ruse. Here are their comments: Lieutinant_martins: “Welcome back queen.” deno.wise: “Isn’t today April Fools’ Day?” deejaykalonje: “Proud of you mama @kamenegoro.” officialterry99: “Can she be in the evening show to replace Mwalimu.” macy_kal2: “I love this girl @kamenegoro … you are a star.. keep winning.” Was Kamene Goro fired from Kiss FM? Previously, Kamene denied claims that she was fired by Kiss FM, as initially rumoured. Kamene expressed how sad she was that her contract was not renewed by the media company.  Notably, Kiss FM poached Kamene together with her then-co-host Andrew Kibe in 2019 from NRG Radio. The station later fired Kibe in June 2020 and his exit saw Comedian Jalang’o joining Kamene to host the morning show. Jalang’o said goodbye to the station in February 2022 to run for the Lang’ata parliamentary seat and he succeeded. After Jalang’o’s exit, Kamene got a new co-host, comedian Oga Obinna, who joined the station in March 2022. Obinna also left Kiss FM shortly after Kamene’s exit.
