Dem wa Facebook has firmly dismissed recent rumours claiming that Oga Obinna repossessed the car he gifted her following their fallout. Dem wa Facebook and Oga Obinna went their separate ways towards the end of 2024. Did Obinna repossess Dem wa FB’s car? The comedienne clarified that the car remains in her possession and that she has chosen to keep it private for personal reasons. In an exclusive interview with YouTuber Mungai Eve, Dem wa Facebook set the record straight, saying: “I have the car ni vile tu sitaki kuiweka online for my privacy, Niko na gari, huyo sio wa kupeana na kurudisha jamani.” She emphasised that there is no truth to the speculation, asserting that she does not believe Obinna is one to take back gifts after a fallout. The car in question, a wine-red Nissan March, was given to Dem wa Facebook by Oga Obinna as a surprise gift. At the time, she expressed disbelief and joy, marking the moment as a memorable one in their relationship.
The rumours about the car’s repossession began circulating after the pair’s public fallout. Dem wa Facebook has made it clear that she did fallout with Obinna and is managing her career independently also rubbishing any suggestions of Obinna playing a managerial role in her life or work. She also expressed her desire to achieve personal goals, including buying herself a new car, a Toyota Harrier. “I want to own a Harrier personally as Dem wa FB, bought with my money, not gifted,” she said. She further explained that her main focus this year is achieving her personal goals, and being in a relationship is not part of her plans.
