Good American apparel founder and reality TV star Khloe Kardashian has revealed divorcing her ex-husband former NBA player Lamar Odom was a lot harder than dealing with her baby daddy, Canadian basketball player Tristan Thompson public betrayal and embarrassment. The mother of 2 notes that the fact that she was younger back then and had spent years with the former Los Angeles Lakers player made the divorce more devastating.

Speaking about her divorce the ‘Kardashians’ star voiced, “With my first husband, I was younger, and I think that was a lot harder for me,” while speaking with Jay Shetty in an episode of her new podcast dubbed Khloé in Wonderland” podcast,Adding that despite all the pain she’s gone through and the curveballs that romantic relationships have thrown at her, she never once sat down in turmoil trying to access whether she was the problem since she kept on attracting broken men who ended up hurting her.
“But what’s interesting was with each relationship where something bad has happened, I didn’t take it and was like, ‘Whoa is me. I’m this victim,’ the 40-year-old entrepreneur said.
Khloe and Lamar tied the knot in 2009 after dating for a while but sadly filed for a divorce 4 years later in 2013. Their marriage was riddled with infidelity, drug abuse, and public scandals.
And although the couple had already signed papers, she put proceedings on hold in 2015 after Odom was found unresponsive in October at a Nevada brothel after an overdose. He was hospitalized on life support. Throughout his recovery, Khloé Kardashian remained by his side.
Their divorce was finalized in 2016 after the basketballer had recovered.

In 2016, reality TV star Khloé Kardashian began dating 33-year-old Cleveland Cavaliers player Tristan Thompson.
However, from the early stages, their relationship was marred by Tristan’s repeated infidelity, which continued even during Khloé’s pregnancy with their first child.
The two had an on-and-off relationship for about five years before Khloé finally ended things in 2021 after Tristan was rumoured to have had a fling with a close friend of the Kardashian-Jenner family.
Reflecting on how she navigated Tristan’s first cheating scandal while pregnant, Khloé lightheartedly shared that she had already gained experience from her first marriage.
“Well, the crazy thing is, I would draw back to the feelings I had with Lamar—Lamar was my first husband—I knew how to deal with this media scandal. And I was in Cleveland, Ohio, so I thought, ‘Let me just stay here for a little bit because that’s where I gave birth,’” she recalled.
She added, “I just knew to stay away from the noise, which L.A. has a lot of. I also stayed away from my phone and completely isolated myself after giving birth. I never left my house for a few months—I was just with her. I built this little cocoon for us, and it was the most magical experience. I wasn’t in denial about all the noise; I just chose not to pay attention to it.”
Khloé and Tristan share two children: a 6-year-old daughter, True, and a 2-year-old son, Tatum.

Khloe Kardashian and her ex-husband NFL star Lamar Odom in a past fileTouching on why she finally filed for divorce from Lamar the mother of 2 reflected on a pivotal moment in their relationship and in her life that she knew deep in herself that no matter how much she cared for Lamar she had to walk away.
“I remember, I was married and my ex-husband had a drug addiction. And I knew that his addiction always heightened — he was in the NBA — and his addiction always heightened when he was in the off-season, cause idle time is the devil’s playground.
And so I remember he was asked to go to Team USA, if I remember correctly, and I was begging, ‘Please, please go to Team USA,’ and I was pushing, and I remember he just looked at me and said, ‘You can’t want it more than I do,’” the 40-year-old commercial model shared. Highlighting how she was desperate to keep her man on track by having him focus on the sport that he loved so much.
Lamar’s dismissive statement rocked Khloe to the core. Hearing her man tell her that she “can’t suit up” and play the sport for him despite only advocating for it because she wanted the very best for him and to help him during his drug addiction rewired something in her.
“But I remember when he said, ‘You can’t want it more than me’ and ‘I don’t want it’ — it was so profound,” the Kardashian said.

And that is the needle that finally broke the camel’s back.
Khloe had a self-respective moment where she came to the conclusion that her husband was right. She couldn’t want life for him more than he wanted for himself.
“It’s so silly, ’cause I know that. But I wanted it so badly, because I wanted to help him and to get him to feel the motivation and feel good, but he just wasn’t in that place. It took me a long time to get to, then I filed for divorce,
That was a very pivotal moment in my life because I remember that statement being like…’Yeah, you’re right. I can’t want your life more than you,” the podcast host voiced.
