Radio presenter and content creator Azziad Nasenya has broken her silence weeks after facing serious allegations regarding unpaid debts. Azziad Nasenya was accused of failing to pay large sums of debts. Is Azziad okay? In a heartfelt message to her followers, Azziad shared a video from a cafe in what appeared to be an international location, thanking her fans for their unwavering support and expressing gratitude for their concern during the challenging time. Despite the allegations, Azziad assured her followers that she is doing well. She explained that while her direct messages were flooded with messages of concern, she was unable to respond to everyone individually. “I’m fine and just taking it a day at a time and thanking God,” she said, offering reassurance to her fans. She did not directly address the unpaid debt allegations in her statement.
Is Azziad in debt? The unpaid debt allegations surfaced after blogger Edgar Obare shared claims from unnamed sources close to Azziad. According to Obare, several of Azziad’s friends had reached out, alleging that the popular content creator had borrowed significant amounts of money and defaulted on repayment. One source, who claimed to have been a long-time friend of the radio presenter, accused Azziad of borrowing KSh 400,000, promising to repay it within three days but failing to do so for over four months. This source also alleged that while the loan was handed over in cash, they had no formal receipts to support the transaction.
Obare further shared voice recordings allegedly from Azziad, in which the sender expressed regret and claimed they were struggling both financially and mentally. In one of the clips, the voice, said to be Azziad’s, admitted to not being ‘okay” and spoke of a particularly tough year. These allegations emerged after Azziad revealed in December 2024 that she had checked herself into a mental health facility for two weeks to address her emotional well-being. Following the announcement, the content creator distanced herself from social media, which added fuel to the speculation. In her first public appearance since the controversy erupted, Azziad reassured her fans that while the journey has been tough, she is in a better place now. “Your love has been felt, it has been overwhelming,” she said, adding that she appreciates the support.
