Human rights defender Sheila Odhiambo, who arrived at the scene early, told TUKO.co.ke that the body showed clear signs of murder. “The woman could have been murdered last night since the body was still looking fresh but mutilated,” she said. The discovery of the body comes just a month after the remains of another unknown woman, burned with acid, were found in the same area, sparking fear among residents. Residents are now calling on local security agencies to intervene and uncover the truth behind the incidents.
Deputy County Commissioner Peter Mutiso confirmed the incident, stating that DCI officers have been engaged to investigate the deaths and arrest the suspects. “We have already engaged the DCI and they will soon began the investigation into the matter, the culprit will be bring to face the law, “ he said. He said authorities are investigating whether the two murders are connected, as both bodies were discovered in the same area on different dates.
