Influencer, actress, and model Brenda Michelle has clarified that no one is born with Sanpaku eyes.
There was a narrative that people with such eyes died mysteriously not long after Brian Chira’s death.
In an interview on Radio Maisha, Brenda expounded
“I was just trying to inform you but people ran with it.
People are not born with Sanpaku eyes. It forms as you grow, it is like a tragedy waiting to happen.
There is a book I have been reading, and then there was a coincidence of celebrities who have been passing away eg Brian Chira, Charles Ouda, and E-Sir-Bob Collymore.
The opposite of Sanpaku is when the white part is on top of the eye and that is associated with Psychopaths.”
What does the term Sanpaku eyes mean?
The term “Sanpaku eyes” gets its name from the Japanese language.
It means “three whites” and refers to more of the white part of the eye showing either above or below the iris.
In Western medicine, Sanpaku eyes are known as a scleral show, which can be merely a cosmetic feature or occur after blepharoplasty.
Normally, that’s a pretty unremarkable thing that you might not even be able to pick up on.
Why it has been speculated that Sanpaku eyes are a death indicator.
According to one Japanese superstition, sanpaku might not be a good indicator of your fate.
This superstition took off in the West during the 60s when Japanese author George Osawa began predicting the deaths of famous American figures (Marilyn Monroe, JFK) based on their eyes. Since then, people have speculated about the connection between sanpaku and one’s fate.
