A video showing an accident between a Toyota Prado and a boda boda has started a debate. A Toyota Prado driver ran into a boda boda. Photo: Abdikarim Hussein. Source: Facebook How did Toyota Prado driver hit boda boda? The video, captured on Monday, December 23, by a dashcam, showed the boda boda rider with a pillion getting into an intersection.

He assumed the fast-approaching SUV would slow down to allow him to pass. However, the Prado braked too slowly and knocked them down. The passenger walked off as the rider threw his hands at the SUV driver. The Prado driver then rammed into the bike on the ground as the rider tried pulling it away. The SUV then slightly reversed as a crowd of onlookers gathered. The video sparked debate on who was wrong in the situation.

Afya Wise: “Why would he want to cause further damage after that mishap? Boda boda guy was on the wrong.” Derrick Omondi: “It looks like he hit them intentionally, but the motorcycle guy was wrong.” Abdikarim Ahmed: “The Prado guy must have been on the phone; it’s not normal to knock someone down with that slow speed! The boda boda guy was obviously on the wrong side. Careless riding!”

Adell Adell: “I get he had the right of way, but now he wants to commit a serious crime?” Samuel Simel: “Was it intentional?” Yusuf Obote: “Some accidents can be avoided.” Gladys Murebeh: “Judging from this, the beef between motorists and riders will never end.”
