Kenyan singer Brown Mauzo has advised Kenyans against envying other people’s relationships.
According to Mauzo, most people do not post things as they are.
Taking to his socials he advised
“Don’t compare your marriage to what you see online. There will always be people who post pictures making it look like they are having a better time than you and your spouse. Avoid the temptation to make a comparison. Envy is dangerous, disastrous even so stay offline if you must.”
Brown has had his fair share of public scrutiny after breaking up with his baby mama Vera Sidika.
Sidika and Mauzo broke up in June 2023 after three years of marriage.

In a past interview with NTV, Mauzo stated both he and Vera played a part in their marriage breaking up.
“It was a great marriage, marked by actions that surpassed anything I had experienced before. Vera did things that surprised and amazed me,” he said
Mauzo added that familiarity grew at some point in the relationship.
“Several factors played a role in the breakdown of the marriage. Throughout the relationship, as time passed, familiarity set in
After being together for over a year, you become accustomed to each other. For instance, actions that initially seemed intimidating might be perceived as a change in the other person. Everyone has their vulnerabilities, but when it appears that the other person is not meeting expectations, it can lead to fatigue in the relationship.

He further explained
“This was exactly what happened. Moreover, life often signals that there might be better alternatives outside of the current relationship.”
Last year (2023) Mauzo took to his socials to announce their split.
“Dear friends and supporters, I wanted to take a moment to share some personal news. After much consideration, Vera Sidika and I have decided to part ways
Our journey together has been filled with unforgettable moments but we have reached a point where it is best for both of us and our babies, Asia Brown and Ice Brown, to move forward separately,” he wrote.

Mauzo shared his excitement at exploring what the future holds.
“We both remain grateful for the lessons learned and the growth we’ve experienced. Our focus now is on healing and embracing the future with open hearts,” he wrote.
His advice to Kenyans comes at a time when a few celebrity marriages have ended.
Nana Owiti and King Kaka recently announced an end to their 13-year relationship.
Saraha and Simon Kabu have also been on the news after it was hinted they might have filed for divorce.
It is also alleged actress Sarah Hassan’s marriage has ended something she hasn’t accepted nor denied.
