Tanzanian songstress and entrepreneur Nandy is a jolly woman after raking in millions of shillings for a 10-minute performance at a wedding ceremony in Mombasa County.
Nandy, through her socials, documented her arrival in the country as well as her journey to the destination marveling at the level of class displayed by the couple tying the knot.
The multi-award-winning songstress had been hired to perform alongside Diamond Platnumz and D Voce at the wedding of Zakir Kholsa, son of one of Kenya’s most affluent and wealthy business tycoons, Imran Kholsa.
Sharing a video of herself donning an elegant, sheer beaded maroon off-shoulder gown with eccentric details on the shoulder and a long mermaid tail on one side, the mother of one wrote, “Wedding performer, Mombasa.”
On her Instagram stories, the ‘Mlete‘ crooner shared highlights from the wedding and moments from when she arrived.
In one of the videos, she could be seen alighting from a black Bentley Bentayga under tight security as she walked onto the red carpet laid out for guests at the entrance towards the hall where Zakir Kholsa’s wedding was being held. Captioning the video she wrote, “Getting paid $350,000 for a 10-minute performance is not a joke,”
The amount translates to a whooping SH. 45 million.

Nandy also shared a video of her being warmly received by female attendees at the wedding as they excitedly tried taking selfies with her.
Her fellow Tanzanian Diamond Platnumz also disclosed his pay after the festivities revealing he was paid at least Sh129 million (1 million dollars) to perform at the ceremony which is currently the talk of town.
Platnumz and his team landed in Kenya aboard a private jet after being booked to perform at the said wedding.
The singer used his socials to make public the amount of money he was paid to entertain guests at the lavish wedding. “$1M For Wedding Show In Mombasa show in Mombasa. Kweli vuma uyaone. Alhamdulillah,” Diamond shared.
Following this, the star becomes the first East African singer to be paid over Sh100 million to perform at a wedding.
The lavish wedding was graced by the who is who in the upper echelon. This included some notable political figures such as, President William Ruto, CS Aden Duale and Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad.

Abdulswamad penned a sweet congratulatory message to Zakir after the wedding.
“It is with immense joy and heartfelt gratitude that I extend my warmest congratulations to my dear friend, Mr. Imran Khosla, on the blessed occasion of the Nikkah of your beloved son, Zakir.
“The sanctity of this union is a testament to the strong values of faith and family that you have instilled in Zakir, and it was a privilege to witness such a momentous milestone celebrated with grace and dignity,” the message said.
