2024 has been a good year for some while for others it is a year they would wish to forget.
It is a year that saw celebs we look up to break up leaving many of us heartbroken.
While some of these couples have never come out to deny or accept their breakup, there have been signs of their not being together.
Size 8 and DJ MO
On 1st August 2024, Size 8 announced her breakup from DJ Mo after being together for 11 years.
In an Instagram story, the ‘Mateke’ hitmaker shared, “Sometimes marriage works by God’s grace, and sometimes it does not, but all in all, God is still on the throne!!!”
She continued, “I’ve been married for 11 years, and now I start the journey of singlehood. But God is still on the throne; I worship you, Yahweh.”
Size 8 and DJ Mo have two children together. They married in September 2013 after introducing each other to their families.
Earlier this year (2024), Size 8 revealed on their TV show ‘Love in the Wild’ that she had considered filing for divorce in the past.
“I reached a point where I felt hopeless and saw no way out. Depression kind of kicked in, so I was not thinking straight. I decided to call a divorce lawyer and told him I wanted a divorce and to take the babies with me. I asked him to start preparing the paperwork,” the singer cum pastor shared.

Mungai Eve and Director Trevor (Feb 2024)
In March 2024, Mungai Eve confirmed her breakup with Director Trevor during an interview with Andrew Kibe.
The split, first announced by Trevor in February, marked the end of their 5-year professional and personal partnership.

Cera Imani and Khalif Kairo (May 2024)
On May 16, Cera Imani confirmed her breakup with car dealer Khalif Kairo in an interview with TNX Africa.
She expressed acceptance of the split, stating, “I always say you never know what life has in store for you, so just pray and take it as it is.”
Despite the end of their relationship, Cera stated that they remained good friends. Kairo admitted fault for the breakup, saying, “I think I’m the one who messed up.”
He reassured fans that the breakup was genuine despite lingering rumours of clout-chasing.

The allegations were that the couple was no longer living together. In April 2024, the couple was seen together celebrating their daughter’s 3rd birthday.
After that, they went to not posting each other on their socials unlike before.
He also describes himself as someone’s dad on social media and not mention anything about being someone’s husband.

Tileh Pacbro and Martina Glez
Tileh shared the news on Instagram, stating that while their romantic relationship ended, they would remain co-parents and business partners.
Martina also confirmed the separation, expressing gratitude for their shared experiences and requesting privacy during the transition.
Sharon Mwangi and Kagwe Mungai
In June 2024 , content creator Sharon Mwangi and musician Kagwe Mungai announced their breakup through a joint social media post.
They stated their decision to part ways was mutual and thanked their supporters for their love and prayers.
They also requested privacy, saying they would not discuss the matter further.

Keranta and Flaqo
In June 2024, Keranta subtly confirmed her breakup with comedian Flaqo after months of speculation.
She lip-synced to a video revealing she was single, hinting at the end of their four-year relationship.
In January, she had posted a YouTube video titled “Starting Over Again,” mentioning moving out and embracing new beginnings, which fueled rumors of a breakup.
Despite addressing fan inquiries with humour, Keranta later clarified on her social media that while she and Flaqo had split, they still respected each other.
Sarah Kabu and Simon Kabu
Similarly, Simon and Sarah Kabu, the founders of Bonfire Adventures, called time on their marriage after years of working and thriving together in both their personal and professional lives.
YY Comedian and Marya Okoth
Comedian YY and Marya Okoth were another duo whose breakup shocked the comedy world, especially since they had seemed inseparable through thick and thin.
