AAR Healthcare has launched a new outpatient centre (OPC) in Kamakis, Kiambu county, continuing its expansion drive nationwide. AAR Healthcare staff during the launch of a new outpatient centre. The new outpatient facility housed at Nexus Business Centre will provide a wide range of healthcare services, such as dental lab and pharmacy services, diagnostic services, and consultations with skilled medical specialists. AAR Healthcare general manager Elizabeth Wasunna told TUKO.co.ke they were inspired to bring services closer to the Kamakis residents through the new multi-million centre. “We are delighted to bring our services closer to the residents of Kamakis and Kiambu county at large. This centre represents our ongoing commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare services across the country. This modern facility will enable us to better serve the healthcare needs of our community, offering a comprehensive range of medical services in a convenient and patient-friendly environment,” Wasunna explained. Who owns AAR Healthcare? In 2020, the Competition Authority of Kenya approved Hospital Holding Limited’s acquisition of 54.237% of AAR Health Care Holdings Limited under the International Finance Corporation consortium. The deal was valued at more than KSh 1.5 billion. AAR operates over 40 clinics across the East African region, 26 of which are in Kenya. AAR’s market share in Kenya is estimated to be 0.6%,” the Competition Authority of Kenya revealed.
