Police on Wednesday arrested a man in possession of elephant tusks weighing 12 kilograms in Isiolo County.
James Muriuki, 43, was apprehended in Isiolo town by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS).
The suspect remains in police custody awaiting arraignment.
