Famous Kenyan comedian Jemutai |
Famous Kenyan comedian Stella Bunei Koitie, known as Jemutai, has warned women against becoming too comfortable in relationships and assuming their partners will never leave them.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, the mother of two cautioned that there is no stage in a relationship that guarantees partners won’t break up.
Jemutai stated that even if partners pass gas in front of each other or relieve themselves in each other’s presence, it doesn’t ensure the relationship will last.
“But we’ll laugh together in this town. Someone says, ‘Oh, if you’re in a relationship and they pass gas in front of you, you can’t break up,’ or ‘Oh, we’ve reached a point where we can’t break up’… you haven’t reached the peak, where you’re brushing your teeth in the bathroom while they’re relieving themselves and you’re chatting, and yet they will still leave!” Jemutai warned.
She continued, “Sister, passing gas doesn’t mean that person will be there forever, no.”
The former Churchill Show comedian noted that no woman has enough relationship knowledge to be perfect.
She also claimed that men understand relationships better than women and know how to handle them.
“When it comes to relationships, sister, whether you are educated with a degree, PhD, Masters, diploma, finished at class eight, or never attended school, whatever level of education you reached, you must accept that when it comes to relationships, we are all in the kindergarten of comedy Play Group,” she said.
“The sooner we learn that we can’t outsmart men in the relationship game, the better it will be. How many times have you been asked for forgiveness this year? And you forgave them… Play Group!” she remarked.
The current state of Jemutai’s relationship is unclear as she has long kept her romantic affairs private.
About three years ago, she spoke about her relationship with fellow comedian Herman Kago, known as Professor Hamo, with whom she has two children.
The two had been dating since 2015 but had a falling out at some point, with Jemutai even accusing the father of her children of abandoning them.
