Three arrested with 298 cocaine pellets concealed in teddy bears

Individuals caught with cocaine in Nairobi 
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) have arrested three suspects in Nairobi’s New Donholm area with suspected cocaine worth Ksh27.5 million.
According to the suspects’ suitcases had a total of 298 cocaine pellets weighing 6.8kg concealed in teddy bears.
“Acting on intelligence, ANU and OSU crime busters intercepted Sharon Debra Achieng’ (25), Leon Ochieng’ (28), and Ronald Onyango (25) yesterday with a black suitcase containing clothes, toiletries, and three teddy bears,” said the DCI in a post on X.
“On ripping the teddy bears open 298 pellets of the nose candy weighing about 6.8kg estimated at Sh27.5 million in street value were discovered.”
Air tickets for various destinations in the female suspect’s name and Ksh37,000 in cash were also recovered.
