Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and MP Oscar Sudi |
Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi has lashed out at Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over claims that he was being undermined. Oscar Sudi said elected leaders have a right to visit any part of the country. What Rigathi Gachagua said about Oscar Sudi Gachagua claimed that a section of Rift Valley leaders had been holding meetings in Mt Kenya to sabotage his 2032 presidential ambition. Speaking in Kesses Constituency, the DP attacked Sudi, accusing him of interfering with the work of other elected leaders. However, speaking in Ainabkoi Constituency on Sunday, May 26, Sudi castigated the deputy president, arguing that every leader has a right to travel across the country beyond their constituencies to support their party leaders. Oscar Sudi responds to DP Gachagua Sudi called on Gachagua to respect other leaders, noting that every leader in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance contributed to Ruto’s victory. “We are all students of President William Ruto. Everyone has the authority to travel across the country. Everyone contributed to the Kenya Kwanza Government. Let’s respect each other. We ask the president and his deputy to respect us. I am not someone you can threaten. I have been threatened enough and this does not move me. You know I got this thing from Ruto. He passed it to me because now he is concentrating on national matters,” Sudi said. The lawmaker asked the second-in-command to stop undermining junior leaders, adding that he would not be intimidated by anybody. “You should stop threats. You should not threaten me because I have done so many things… Let’s respect each other. Many people who spoke at an event in Kesses yesterday had different issues with other people. We are small people,” he added.
