Remains of man who went missing 22 years ago found using Google Earth

Unanswered questions over the disappearance of William Moldt left his family in confusion and distress for 22 years.
According to WPTV, Moldt was 40 years old when he vanished from Palm Beach County, Florida. That was in November 7, 1997.
He is reported to have called his girlfriend from a bar informing her that he would be home soon.
WPTV said the  was seen leaving the bar alone and got into his vehicle.
That was the last time anyone ever saw him again.
However, on August 28 this year, someone made an astonishing discovery.
A former resident of Wellington is said to have been randomly browsing Google Earth when he noticed ‘something’ in the water.
Reports from the County Sheriff’s Office revealed that the man contacted one of his former neighbors and told him what he had seen.
“The current resident activated his personal drone and confirmed what the previous resident saw and immediately contacted PBSO,” the Palm Beach authorities said on Facebook.
They added that: “Upon arrival deputies confirmed there was a vehicle in the pond,”
After police removed it from the pond, they discovered skeleton remains inside.
On September 10, 2019, the remains were identified as that of William Moldt after forensic tests.
Investigators quoted on the BBC however said it would be difficult to determine what led to his death.
The family is yet to issue any statement.
