Paul Walker’s final words were particularly haunting given the tragic way in which he died. Fast and Furious star Paul was a passenger in a red Porsche Carrera GT driven by his friend Roger Radas who lost control of the vehicle at 100pmh before it smashed into a tree and burst on fire.
The pair, who were on their way to a charity event organised by Paul, died instantly in the accident. One of Paul’s close friends Jim Thorp rushed to the scene and tried to pull him out but sheriff’s ‘pushed him away’ given the danger of the ’20 feet flames’.

While speaking at the crash scene on that fateful November 2013 day, Thorp told reporters of Paul’s last words. He explained how Roger was in the middle of parking the Porsche when Paul heard he was having trouble getting it into a bay.
Paul, 40, asked if they could take the Porsche out for a spin as he hadn’t driven in it yet. Thorp revealed: “Roger backed [the car] into the garage and Paul jumped in and said ‘Hey, let’s go for a drive’.” Standing at the site of the crash scene and pointing to the mangled wreck of the red supercar, Jim added: “So they went for a little drive and this is what happened.”
Paying tribute to his friend Paul, Jim said: “He lived his life and died fast and furious. It’s strange. He made his movies. He lived his life and he died fast and furious today. He loved speed, he loved cars, and he had to die this way. He died in a very fast car with his friend,” Thorp told the New York Daily News.

Paul was in the middle of filming Furious 7 when he died. The movie was eventually completed after rewrites and stand-ins playing Paul, including his brothers Cody and Caleb. Paul was survived by his daughter Meadow, who was just 15 at the time of his death.
On her 21st birthday in May, Meadow shared previously unseen footage of her father on her Instagram page. The clip showed Meadow surprising her dad on his birthday by bursting into his bedroom. “You scared the hell out of me!” laughed Paul. As she posted the video online, Meadow wrote: “I never thought I’d share this. But it felt right. Be good. I love you. Stay safe. Xx”.
