Here’s a detailed timeline of their relationship:

2007: Meeting and Starting Bonfire Adventures

Simon and Sarah first met virtually through a Google group where members discussed various topics, including politics and job opportunities.

Their first in-person meeting occurred during a group trip to Lukenya Hills, where their bond began to form. The same year, they spearheaded group excursions, which became the foundation ofBonfire Adventures.

2008: The Proposal

Simon proposed to Sarah at Amboseli Observation Hill. Although the plan nearly failed due to Sarah’s mood that morning, the proposal went ahead successfully, marking the next phase of their relationship.

2009: Marriage

After one and a half years of dating, Simon and Sarah tied the knot at the Lake Naivasha Country Club. Sarah described their relationship as flawless, citing shared interests as the key to their bond.

2013: Welcoming Their First Child

Four years into their marriage, the couple welcomed their first child, a son, after Sarah’s battle with fibroids. She recalled her struggles in past interviews, highlighting the journey as a testament to resilience and faith.


2017: Birth of Their Second Child

The Kabus celebrated the arrival of their daughter, Anita, further solidifying their family unit.

June 2021: First Public Hint of Marital Troubles

Sarah shared a cryptic social media post: “Already rehearsing to be a single mum of two lovely little angels.”

This came amid her concerns over Simon’s business associations, one in particular whose polygamous lifestyle she disapproved of. “Bad company ruins morals,” she warned on social media.

April 2022: Marital Drama Goes Public and Quick Resolution

Sarah accused Simon of preventing her from seeing their children and described unresolved issues in their marriage since its inception.

She also expressed frustrations about Simon’s financial support for his children from previous relationships.

In response to the public outcry, Sarah issued an apology: “Sorry, my fam. When I was in distress, I said things I shouldn’t have said online. Life is a lesson, and we learn every day. Forgive me, Simon. Let’s sort our issues offline. All is well. Please keep us in prayers.”

May 2022: Pregnancy Announcement

The couple announced they were expecting another child through a playful Instagram video. The announcement came shortly after their marital drama had played out online.

November 2024: Simon on Infidelity and Forgiveness

In an interview with KTN, Sarah spoke about infidelity, asserting it shouldn’t necessarily end a marriage “Cheating is not a reason to leave your man,” she said, reflecting a pragmatic approach to relationships. 

The comment drew a lot of criticism including from prominent YouTuber Mungai Eve.

December 2024: Sarah Confirms Leaving Matrimonial Home

Sarah revealed she had left the home she shared with Simon. She described her departure as moving away from “Misri” (Egypt) and said she was now at peace and happy.
