Rodgers Oloo Magudha, AKA “Nairobi Birdman” |
Rodgers Oloo Magudha, famously known as the “Nairobi Birdman” for his unique habit of walking around Nairobi streets with three crows perched on his shoulders and head, has become a landowner. Nairobi Birdman becomes landowner. During the men’s mental health awareness walk organised by comedian Oga Obinna on Saturday, August 3, Magudha received a piece of land in Konza City. Who gifted Nairobi Birdman land? This generous gift came from a real estate company in recognition of his distinctive presence and to support his well-being. In addition to the land, Obinna contributed 10 iron sheets to help Magudha start building his house. Obinna also announced that Brenda Mora, a Member of County Assembly from Kisii County, pledged to add 10 more iron sheets to the gift. “He has been gifted a piece of land in Konza City. I will give you 10 iron sheets so that you can build your house. We also have an honourable from Kisii, Brenda Mora, who has promised to add 10 more iron sheets,” Obinna stated in a video shared online by SPM Buzz. What’s Nairobi Birdman’s request to the government? Previously, the young man pleaded for help to leave the streets, which have been home for years. He appeared for a live Citizen TV interview with his birds, whom he described as his closest companions and narrated his plight living on the streets. During the TV appearance, he disclosed he lives on the streets near the National Archives along Tom Mboya Street. In another report, he urged the government to nominate him for a Cabinet secretary position. Magudha, believing himself to be a tourism attraction, asserted that he is the best fit for the position of Tourism CS, adding that Gen Zs are advocating for his appointment to the ministry.
