Four dead, one missing after landslides hit villages in Baringo

Four people have been confirmed dead while one is reported missing after mudslides hit villages in Baringo North.

The landslides occurred in Kasisiit area.

Red Cross officials and other rescuers are on site combing through the debris.

Teams of police officers have also been deployed in the hilly area where several families have also fled from their homes fearing more landslides.

The incident has been attributed to heavy rains pounding the region.

Police have confirmed the incident.
