Residents of Majengo have been left in shock following the mysterious deaths of a soldier and a married woman in his house. Police confirmed the deaths occurred overnight and are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
The lifeless and undressed bodies of the duo were found in the army man’s bedroom this past weekend, in an incident that has left the neighbours bewildered. Ayo TV reports that the woman’s husband became concerned after she failed to return home and reported the matter to the community leaders, hoping they could help trace her.
“He came to our offices and told us how worried he was after his wife failed to return home. However, upon investigation, we found out that his wife had died alongside a retired soldier in his bedroom. “I visited the scene where we found the door opened.
We went to the bedroom and found the two bodies. It was as if they were sleeping with no clothes on. They were motionless, and it appeared as if they had already passed away. I called the police, who are now here,” Jumanne Kazimoto, the chairperson of Majengo area said.He identified the deceased as Peter Masali, who had retired from the army.
The woman has been identified as Mery Nassoro. Family friend speaks A family friend of the deceased woman disclosed that she got married to her husband this year. “After getting wind of what happened to the woman, I called her husband who told me that he last spoke to his wife when she asked him for fare (KSh 500).
I was one of the bridesmaids in the wedding,” she said. The police have since confirmed the incident, saying the soldier and married woman went to the bedroom on the night before their death. “The room that they were found in also doubles as a store and grocery. It had no windows. The woman was a worker at the store,” a law enforcer said.
