Zachariah Kariuki, a 22-year-old creative has been hot in the news mimicking deputy president Rigathi Gachagua to perfection under his stage name Mr. KK Mwenyewe.
The young man is a third-year student at Kisii University studying Computer Science.
“People don’t believe I do that course, they always think I am a joker,” Mr. KK said during a past interview with Dr. Ofweneke.
KK revealed that comedy was something that he has an undying passion for and he hopes to keep on doing it for as long as he can even after graduation. He apparently has no plans of fully venturing into computer science as a full-time job after school.
Zacharia also dresses as shabbily as Riggy G, using clothes to make up the politician’s belly.
And even though Rigathi has changed his wardrobe and dresses a little bit better now Zacharia still rocks the baggy suits, and hideous ties Riggy used to wear.
One interesting thing about the Tiktok skits is his accent. He will leave your ribs cracking.
Mr.KK Mwenyewe has over 77,0 followers on TikTok and is a comedian who is known for his hilarious skits mimicking the deputy president.
However, this is not his first rodeo, he did trend some time back due to his hilarious presenter skits.
He used to have a different TikTok account which boasts over 131 followers but unfortunately, he lost it.
KK divulged that somehow the account ended up getting restricted and he couldn’t access it anymore. He got upset for a while but then decided to pick up the pieces and start afresh.
On how he got started, Zachariah says friends told him he fits the Riggy G character perfectly.
“It came super easy for me. My friends advised me to take up the Gachagua challenge and I pulled it off. I then decided to keep it up since everyone seems to be enjoying them so much,” he said.
Another Kenyan who also pulls off the accent is content creator Terence Creative, who has several videos on his YouTube channel. BY MPASHO NEWS
