Willis Raburu’s ex-wife Marya Prude is regretting getting married at the age of 23 years.
In a recent post, Marya said she could be so far right now, had she not gotten married at 23 to Willis Raburu.
According to Marya,28, marriage is not an achievement in life, just that it is overrated.
“I woke up this morning with so much to do in my mind and I just remembered I got married at 23, yes yes! 23 l don’t know what I was thinking!”
Marya added that she wasted time serving society and other human expectations of her being a wife.
“I would be so far right now if I wasn’t busy serving society and other humans. Their expectations of me as a married woman coz I would be doing most of what I’m doing right now to catch up.”
Willis and Marya got married in May 2017 in an exclusive event and broke up in 2020.
The TV personality in a past interview said that at the time of the wedding he and his now ex-wife had not known each other well.
Raburu and Marya’s marriage crumbled after they lost their daughter in December 2019.
The couple secretly separated in 2020 under unclear circumstances, before officially being divorced and going their separate ways the same year.
Speaking about the divorce, Raburu said he initiated the process after he noticed things were not working out for them.
“I initiated the process of divorce and all respect to her,” he said.
“Unfortunately, it happened. Nobody goes into a marriage with hopes to come out. I am happy that sometimes we lost ourselves. We divorced officially and I moved on.”
Raburu said divorcing his wife was extremely painful and that he does not wish it on anyone.
Willis Raburu has since moved on with Ivy Namu, and together they have two kids.
