President Samia Suluhu Hassan has joined fellow Tanzanians in mourning the sudden demise of Wasafi FM Presenter Khadija Shaibu alias Dida who passed away on Friday.
In a phone call to Diamond Platnumz’s Wasafi FM, President Samia expressed her heartfelt condolences to Dida’s family and the Wasafi media team for losing their colleague.
“Ninatoacsalamu za pole kwa familia, ndugu, jamaa, marafiki na wafanyikazi wa Waafi Media Group kwa kuondekewa na ndugu yetu Khadija Shaibu (Dida). Mwenyezi Mungu mwingi wa rehema awape subra,” President Samia said in part.
She encouraged the Wasafi family to remain strong at this difficult time of mourning their colleague.
“I have called to sympathize with you following the death of our sister Dida. I had called earlier in the day but you were unavailable because of the ongoing funeral. I was calling to condole with you and encourage you because this is the way all of us we don’t know when we will leave this world but they are all God’s plan. So we say everything that God brought will eventually go back to him,” President Samia said.
“I want to encourage you and urge you to remain strong as you continue with your work. Poleni sana mmpata msiba mkubwa na pass our heartfelt condolence to her family too and tell them the government will support them,”.
Dida passed away on Friday while receiving treatment at a Hospital in Dar es Salaam.
She used to host a mid-morning show on Wasafi FM called ‘MashamSham’ with Idris Wa Kitaa and Juma Lokole
She was laid to rest on Saturday, as per the Muslim customs.
