Azimio La Umoja One leader Raila Odinga is currently chairing a high-level meeting of the coalition’s top brass in Naivasha.

The opposition chief summoned all the coalition’s 22 governors and top Azimio bigwigs.

Also in the meeting are Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka and former Azimio presidential running mate Martha Karua.

Both Karua and Kalonzo will address the conference that also seeks to chart the coalition’s future after the August 9 loss.

The meeting comes at a time when top politicians from the Opposition have been warming up to President William Ruto.

Participants at the meeting will also craft the coalition’s political strategy for the 2027 polls.

The forum will give the Azimio leaders an opportunity to find a solution to Ruto’s overtures targeting coalition governors and MPs.

Ruto has held talks with some Azimio governors who have promised to work with him unconditionally, triggering jitters in the Opposition.

The meeting is also a precursor to a conference for all the Azimio leaders of all levels before the end of the year.    BY THE STAR
