The first wife of the late Michael Jackson has died.
Lisa Marie Presley died aged 54 Thursday, January 12, 2023.
“Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie,” the statement said.
“They are profoundly grateful for the support, love, and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”
According to a statement from her publicist, Lisa Marie Presley suffered cardiac arrest at a home near Calabasas on Thursday.
A source familiar with the incident told The Times she collapsed and had trouble breathing.

Emergency personnel responded to a 10:37 a.m. call at a home off Las Virgenes Road, L.A. County Fire Department Capt. Sheila Kelliher confirmed to The Times. Presley was then transported to West Hills Hospital.
She married the late Michael Jackson after he proposed to her over the phone, amid court drama about child abuse.
They wed in 1994.
“He had something so intoxicating about him, and when he was ready to share with you and be himself … He was like a drug for me,” she told Oprah Winfrey in 2010. Presley and Jackson divorced in 1996.
Then six years after Michael, Lisa Marie got married again but divorced soon after.
The next marriage happened in 2002 when she wed actor Nicholas Cage in Hawaii. They divorced in 2004.
Her fourth and final marriage was to guitarist and producer Michael Lockwood in 2006. In 2008 Presley welcomed twin girls, Harper and Finley Lockwood, with her fellow “Storm & Grace” musician.
Lisa Marie Presley is survived by her mother and her three daughters. Her son, Benjamin, died in July 2020 at age 27.
