Relief to Matiang’i as DPP returns no sufficient evidence verdict in police house raid claims

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has directed the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to close inquiry against former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i on claims of police raiding his Nairobi Karen Home.

DPP said the evidence presented by DCI is not sufficient to sustain the charges conspiracy to coomit a felony and publication of false information against Dr Matian’gi and his lawyer Danstan Omari.

He further directed that the inquiry be closed with no further police action adding that the ec action claims; says evidence not sufficient to sustain the charges.    BY DAILY NATION
