First Daughter Charlene Ruto has mourned the death of Rodney Kili, one of her close friends. Rodney Kili and Charlene Ruto shared a love for agriculture. What killed Rodney Kili? Rodney Kili is the son of a prominent Uasin Gishu farmer, George Kili, and he met his death during a farm accident, leaving his family in unimaginable pain and grief. According to reports, the young man passed away during his normal farm operations. “Rodney was calibrating a planter on the move while seeding cover crops. He accidentally slipped and fell during the operation and unfortunately succumbed to injuries,” a report read.

 Why Charlene won’t attend Rodney’s funeral Charlene and the Killi brothers were close friends, and she often visited their farm in Uasin Gishu. She shared her love for farming and agriculture with Rodney, and Charlene said she was devastated she wouldn’t attend his funeral. Charlene wrote: “Rodney, you are gone too soon. I have woken up thinking about how I won’t be there as they lay you to rest today, rest in peace.” The young lady is currently out of the country and won’t be able to attend the funeral service, which is slated for Saturday, October 19.  She is attending the World Food Forum. How Rodney’s brother mourned him Felix Kili, his elder brother, took to his Instagram stories to share a touching tribute to his late sibling.

 He shared touching photos of them together, travelling the world and questioning what life was all about. Who is George Kiprono Kili? Rodney and Felix’s father rose from a school dropout to a business owner employing around 100 people. Through hard work and determination, Kili rose to become a renowned farmer in Uasin Gishu county. He paved the way for the success of other farmers, and President William Ruto recognised his efforts.
