Why Caroline Mutoko would never reveal her nannies salary

Media personality Caroline Mutoko has advised against revealing the salary of your nanny.

This she says should remain confidential unless the nanny wants to reveal it herself

Mutoko further argued that some nannies ‘lie’ to their families about how much they earn for their own reasons.

Speaking during an interview with Nairobi News, the mother of two shared

“Just imagine, your employee telling people how much you earn.

It’s very unfair. Imagine you told your family that you are earning maybe Sh10,000 and your employer reveals that he or she is paying you Sh20,000. That is trouble,” Caroline said.

Mutoko says she compensates her nannies handsomely for their job adding that she gets them from a househelp bureau.

“I hire someone who knows how to do her job. I hire someone who is able to keep my house neat, someone who knows how to use equipment in my house, someone who knows how to make a bed and fold tissue paper.

This is why I pay them well. It’s also good to note that I hire trained people and I pay them for their worth. I have had two ladies for a long time. So anything they need they are equipped with,” Caroline explained.

In a recent interview Mutoko said she does not regret leaving radio.

“It’s been nine years since I came out of the radio. It was time and it’s been great. I am glad I did it. I know a lot of people were wondering what I was doing.

Some were like, ‘You have a very great show on radio!’. But I knew that that season for me was ending, and I needed to step into my new one.”

Does she miss being back on the airwaves?

“I don’t miss radio. I gave my best at Kiss FM for 14 years and at Capital FM for four and a half years. We did the best we could for each other,” Mutoko shared
