A devastated family is desperately looking for their missing daughter. Kiambu girl Maxine Tabitha Njoroge is yet to return home after leaving on Wednesday, December 11.  Maxine Tabitha Njoroge left and failed to return home on Wednesday, December 11, after her mother’s departure.

Her mum had left for an end-of-year party at her workplace in Westlands hours before the teenager left home. What time did Tabitha leave home? Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Luka Wainaina Njoroge, Tabitha’s father, recalled the events of the day that led to her teenage daughter’s disappearance.

“Tabitha wanted to attend her mother’s end-of-year party, but her request was denied. She insisted on accompanying her mum to the event, but all odds were against her.

Later in the day, around 2:30 p.m., Tabitha disposed of the garbage. She later told her younger sister she would clean the pet house and needed help.  After cleaning the pet house and taking the dirt outside, her sister did the final touches.

At that time, 16-year-old Tabitha took the opportunity to leave home. She took the gate keys and went,” her heartbroken father said. Wainanina’s effort to follow his daughter Wainaina said he found out his daughter had left and hurried to look for her outside the gate after a few minutes.

A neighbour told him Tabitha tightened her hoodie before heading in a specific direction. “I tried to follow her route, going to the main road, but there were no signs of her. She left her laptop and phone at home.

She did not seem to have anything on her except the black hoodie. We reported the matter to Kinoo Police Station, who told us they would follow up. In the meantime, we were advised to print posters to inform people of our daughter’s missing,” he said.

Which school does Tabitha attend? Wainanina said he enagaged Loreto Limuru High School, where her Form Three daughter studies. There were rumours about her whereabouts, but none gave clear directions for Tabitha’s destination. Tabitha’s parents can be contacted on 0716443828 or 0724146752.
