Sauti Sol is undoubtedly Kenya’s most beloved band.
The all-boy band will be taking a brief hiatus. Member Savara spoke to Mpasho’s Dennis Milimo about delivering for the fans at the concluded Stanbic Yetu Festival on Saturday, June 10.
“We were ready because we have been playing all over, the stars have just been aligning,” he told.
Savara told that it was a blessing curtain raising for the US band and entertaining music fans.
He sent a warm message to thank Kenyans for their support throughout their career.
“Groups are forever loved. To see our hometown people singing to all the songs for us that’s a blessing so to be a child of Africa, thank you so much to everyone that put this together, like every promoter, everyone, we appreciate it.”
He added that
“It’s such an assurance we will come back. Like the hiatus itakuwa short “
Performing before Boyz II Men?
“We’ve worked for it we prepared, we’ve worked hard We’ve gone through the trenches we are thankful.

Sauti Sol sent their fans into a frenzy when they hit the stage minutes before 7 pm.
Their highly anticipated opening got chants of welcome from music fans who thronged the venue for the festival.
And to show much much they are loved, fans sang word for word all the songs the boy band entertained concertgoers with.
From the VVIP to the VIP to the regular section, your favorite celebrities were all in attendance to share the same thrill.
Hassan Joho, Johnson Sakaja, Willy Mutunga, and Jeff Koinange were spotted walking in front of the stage, smiling brightly and giving high-fives to fans in attendance.
Joho got the loudest cheer as he stood in the crowd in front of the stage beaming.All these celebrities sang along to the beloved artists.
Sauti Sol used the occasion to make an incredible fashion statement. They rocked black outfits in their style paired with different shoes.
The celebrated boy band jetted back into Kenya last week for the weekend festival.They had been in America for the Madaraka tour.
