Recording and performing artist Dufla Diligon has taken to his socials to pick a fight with TikTok content creators.
According to the artist, he feels Kenyan TikTokers are unfair and greedy, but above all part of the reason why play KE isn’t really working.
On his Instagram page, Dufla went on a rant calling out TikTokers who ask artists for huge sums of money to dance to their songs when they’ve been dancing to international songs for free all along.
“Some tiktoker’s wanakatsia !!!” Started off the artist angrily.
He went on to add;
“Yaani unapata msee ameng’ang’ana na ngoma za Nigerian’s, Tz, Amapiano and the list goes on. Wamepiga challenges ka zote free!!!! Wewe ukimcall anadai budget (30k,50k, 100k…)”
Which loosely translates to;
“You meet someone has tried his level best and danced to all the Nigerian, Tanzanian, and Amapianio songs. They have participated in all of the challenges for free but when you (a Kenyan artist) call them they start demanding to be paid, listing a budget ranging from Sh. 30k to Sh.100k or more,” the artist angrily added.
Still, on his angry rant, Dufla went on to add that to top it off some creators were so unprofessional that working with them was a sheer headache. The dance hall artist highlighted that there are instances where you pay a creator then they go missing in action without delivering content as agreed.
“Ukishawatumia wengi wanaingia mitini simu hawashiki na akipick eti pole nimekuwa ulevi. Wengine wanafanva video moja na ni ivo!!!!
(When you send the money to them, they go in the dark completely ignoring you. They literally don’t pick up calls and when they do they audaciously tell you that they have been out partying. Some do one video and that is it!!!)” The agitated artist added, clearly triggered.
Finishing up he wrote, “I really don’t understand this!!!!”
