The youthful lawmaker has endeared himself to the electorate with some of his witty declarations and political stands. During an interview on Citizen TV on Wednesday, November 1, the young MP opened up on circumstances that would see him ditch Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party for Kenya Kwanza. Salasya urged President William Ruto to pick him as his advisor on economic issues, arguing that most in Kenya Kwanza led him astray by encouraging him to impose more taxes on Kenyans. The MP vowed that he would gladly cross the floor of the House and join the ruling alliance if Ruto oversees the reduction of fuel prices in Kenya. “Take me as your advisor. If he follows the things I’ve said, he will be the best president. And if he reduces the fuel price from KSh 220 and lowers it to KSh 150, I will enter Kenya Kwanza; I will leave Azimio,” Salasya said. How will Ruto become Kenya’s best leader The first-term MP further observed that Ruto was on the right path to becoming the best head of state in Kenya’s young history.  Salasya claimed it was the best tie for Ruto to ignore counsel from some leaders who he claimed had been lying to him. “Let him now just address the cost of living, fuel and whatever and in Kenya, he will be the best president. Once he addresses that one and thank God he’s now being the country together. This is the time for him to delete some friends who’ve been misadvising him,” the MP added. Ruto to pay Salasya’s dowry Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that Ruto left Bungoma residents in stitches when he offered to help Salasya pay his wife’s bride price. Speaking on Sunday, August 27, the president asked the residents to look for a wife for the Azimio MP, whom he hilariously accused of being a nuisance. Further, the president asked Salasya to stop associating with Azimio leaders, such as Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah, whom he said has nothing to offer the first-time MP.
