Kenyan TikToker Smile Prince has officially proposed to his Burundian girlfriend, Queen Keke, in what has been described as one of the most dramatic public proposals in recent memory.
The proposal, which took place at the iconic Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), went viral last week, capturing the attention of fans across social media platforms.
Following the buzz, the couple appeared on Obinna Live, a show hosted by media personality Oga Obinna.
During the interview, things took an unexpected turn when Obinna asked Keke how many times Smile Prince had cheated on her. Without hesitation, she responded, “Mara kadha!” — Swahili for “Many times!”
Intrigued, Obinna pressed further, asking why she continued to forgive him.
“Namsamehe tu,” Keke replied. “Wanasemaga madem wakicheat inamaanisha love imeisha na wanaendaga wakiendaga, but mwanaume anaeza cheat for specific reasons — maybe tamaa or me not being available.”
(Translation: I just forgive him. They say when women cheat, it means the love has faded and they leave, but a man might cheat for specific reasons — perhaps lust or my unavailability.)
Keke went on to explain that she does not fulfill all of her partner’s needs and that she isn’t bothered by his attraction to other women.
“Mimi naeza ingia nkae one-hour nitoke, mwingine akuje akae one hour pia atoke,” she said, implying that she is open to sharing his time and space with others.
(Translation: I could be there for an hour, leave, and another woman could come in for an hour too — then leave.)
While Smile Prince denied some of the specific claims made by Keke, he admitted to having been caught cheating on multiple occasions.
However, what stunned both Obinna and the live audience was the extent of Keke’s devotion to the relationship.
She revealed that despite everything, she went out of her way to support Smile Prince, including maintaining his household even when he was living with two other women.
“Nikienda kwake nilikuwa namfanyia kila kitu. Nilikuwa naenda natengenezea nyumba, namake sure iko safi. Alafu alikuwa anaishi na madem wake wawili, na mimi ndiyo nilikuwa nawaoshea wote nguo — na zilikuwa mingi sana. Lakini pia nazianua, nakunja, naenda home kila kitu ikiwa sawa.”
(Translation: When I went to his place, I did everything for him. I would clean and arrange the house. He was living with two other women, and I was the one washing all their clothes — and there were so many. I’d pick them, fold them, and go home after making sure everything was in order.)
The episode left many viewers divided — some commending Keke’s loyalty, others questioning the boundaries of love and self-worth.
