In an era where celebrity relationships unfold like reality TV shows, Complete with matching outfits, Instagram countdowns, and flashy proposals Kenya’s beloved cinematographer and music producer, J Blessing, has chosen a far more low-key route to love.
Turns out, while fans have been busy keeping up with celebrity drama, J Blessing has been quietly writing his own love story and it just reached a beautiful milestone.
Yes, you heard right. J Blessing is officially off the market. The multi-talented creative has confirmed that he and singer Bridget Blue have tied the knot after three years of dating.
The big reveal came not through a grand announcement or a wedding day post, but through the sharp eyes of an online sleuth who stumbled upon a government-issued marriage notice on E-Citizen. The notice, dated April 4, listed Jibril Blessing and Bridget Blue as bride and groom and naturally, that sent the internet into a mini frenzy.

The whispers had already started a few days earlier, when Bahati shared a photo that featured himself, Willy Paul, Mr Seed, and J Blessing sitting together on a bench. He captioned it, “Today was a good day. We paid dowry for one of these brothers, guess who?”
Fans went into full detective mode, speculating who the groom-to-be might be. Most guessed J Blessing and well, they weren’t wrong.
It was blogger Edgar Obare who reached out for confirmation, and J Blessing responded with honesty and a touch of grace.
“Yes, that’s true,” he said. “In fact, we’re married with our parents’ acknowledgment, but we’ve decided to put our marriage and anything on our relationship as personal due to our careers, and to protect what we have.”
For J Blessing, this decision wasn’t random. After spending years in the public eye and likely learning a few hard lessons he’s chosen to nurture this new chapter with care and privacy.
“I hope it remains private for the sake of our new family that we plan to nurture away from the public eye,” he shared. Adding, “I’ve gained many lessons from being in the spotlight. Therefore, it is kept discreet but not hidden since this is our third year and we just formalized our marriage this year.”

There’s something truly admirable about that. In a world where every moment is curated for likes and validation, some love stories choose to bloom quietly, far from hashtags and hot takes.
So while we may not get a YouTube wedding vlog or a flashy photo shoot anytime soon, we can still celebrate the love between two artists who chose substance over spectacle.
To J Blessing and Bridget Blue congratulations. May your union be filled with music, peace, and just the right amount of magic.
