Dynamis at play when a partner cheats TUKO reached out to counsellor Jane Mugo to get some insights into the dynamics at play when a spouse cheats on their significant other. She said that in most cases, leaving the marriage due to infidelity is not always the best response to the situation, insisting that every spouse is at fault in case the marriage is plagued by a cheating scandal. “One needs to treat their partner with caution since you don’t know whether you are with the right person or not, and this is something many don’t understand. Do you know we have men investing heavily on their side chicks? Why would he do so?
After all, people need to understand that being together doesn’t mean love brought you together; many factors lead to it,” she told TUKO.co.ke. Jane said that before deciding to leave due to cheating, one should look inward and ask ‘what role did I play?’. “This is because, at times, we are the ones who shove our partners to the side and neglect their needs,” she added.
