Popular YouTuber Shorn Arwa has opened up about her thoughts on motherhood, revealing that she’s not keen on having another child.
Speaking in an interview with Esther Alex, the mother of one said it would take a lot for her to change her mind.
“Motherhood is beautiful, but it’s stressful,” she admitted. “I would never do it again… unless something changes my mind.”
Still, she cherishes parts of the experience. When asked what she loves most about motherhood, Arwa shared, “I love being able to experience a kind of love you can’t explain. I just wish my mum was around to see her grandchild.”
Reflecting on how motherhood has shaped her, she revealed one surprising personal growth area: “I’ve learnt how patient I can be—I’m naturally such an impatient person.”
Arwa relocated to the UK in 2023, a move she had long desired.
“I was so excited. I’d always dreamt of leaving Kenya,” she said. “But when the moment finally came, it didn’t feel as thrilling as I expected.”

Footage later surfaced of Arwa crying uncontrollably at the airport as her family saw her off.
“The reality of leaving everything I’ve ever known hit me. I thought—my son won’t know what it’s like to grow up as a Kenyan child,” she said emotionally. “Then it dawned on me—those spontaneous Mombasa or Malindi getaways? Gone.”
Shorn Arwa is married to a Nigerian man, whom she met during a trip to Dubai. Their romance blossomed quickly.
“I met him on a trip to Dubai—we spent about two days together,” she told Mungai Eve in a previous interview. “It was love at first sight. He was calm, collected, and I just knew he was the one.”
After six months of long-distance interaction, she travelled to Nigeria to be with him.
Beyond content creation, Arwa is also a businesswoman. She’s the founder of Body By Arwa, a company that offers slimming products.
Her YouTube channel, where she shares her lifestyle and motherhood journey, currently boasts over 145,000 subscribers. She’s also a well-established influencer in both Kenya and the UK.
